Sirovasthi – Medicated Oil Therapy for the Head

Sirovasthi is a deeply therapeutic Ayurvedic procedure in which lukewarm medicated herbal oil is retained on the head inside a specially fitted leather cap for a prescribed duration. This treatment is highly effective for various neurological and psychological conditions.

 Procedure

A soft leather cap is placed on the patient’s head and sealed to prevent oil leakage. Warm herbal oil is slowly poured into the cap and allowed to stay on the scalp for 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the individual’s health condition and constitution. During the session, the patient is kept in a calm, seated position.
